Have you ever been so cold, Sweetheart,
   your knees q u a k e d like that Jenga piece
that buckled just before your whole foundation

                           t
                       o
                 p
             p
         l
     e
  d
              over?

                              I have.

  & no matter
  how many times
  I've restarted your heart,

  one would think
            I'd grow tired,
  eventually;

I'm still writing you in poetry

(in the most inappropriate of places.)
You forced yourself beneath my blades
                                & my fingertips,
  Licking unstable knees,
you were death on my tongue:

  angry apricot eyes, unforgivable sin
    scaring my limbs &
  haunting my dreams.

Cardiac arrest
& I'd still try to save your fucking life.

Simply: you are an amazing poet. How easily you seem to paint with such beautiful diction never ceases to amaze me as a reader. Your Day 10 NaPo is a bit resonating of ee cummings avant-garde styling (your peculiar take on the word "quaked"; "toppled") making this a pleasurable, rather refreshing read. The subscription gives it a subtle, almost whispered effect. The ampersands gives it a rather broken up feel. In some aspects, it can be good and bad for a lovely piece as I feel while it can disrupt the flow ever so slightly--- it's distinctive (being particularly fond of ampersands myself.)

May I wish you the best of luck this poetry writing month.

I can relate to how I understood this poem... No matter how many times you try, or how long, or how much anger you have towards someone... If you've ever loved them, you'll do anything.

I love this one. It seems almost angry to me. It's great. Fantastic job. I know that it's hard writing incredibly personal things, but this is some wonderful work.

I was quite angry at the time, actually. It's hard, yes---but it's worth it in the end.
Thank you. :)

Seriously, almost every piece of yours is like a fucking knife and it's scary how relatable they can be. Well, I don't feel everything about this piece, but certain stanzas I certainly am going "That's my life."

I wouldn't expect everyone to understand every part of my poems, it's impossible. It's why I hate anylizing art and writing. I don't have this persons brain, I don't know what they were thinking while do this. But yes, having relatable parts is in no way a bad thing. :)

I also have an apricot eyed person who was death on legs.. and I'd still save his life a thousand times, no matter how cold he was to me. You summed up the thoughts I had been trying to piece together about him for months. Thankyou.

I'm feeling that cold right now, inside. I'm so upset and heartbroken, and this was the perfect poem to relate to, thank you.

Your thoughts define the physical manifestation of your reality. Find those moments that swell your heart and transform your purgatory to paradise and attempt replication. Not people. Sunsets. The smell of sunshine. Freshly cut grass. Zoom yourself out of your situation and view the earth from the heavens. A tiny pebble with some gas clinging to it, while the microbes we know as 'norm' grow beneath a spectrum of light and invisible force. This life is so fragile, can be stolen in an instant. Surround yourself with love and surrender every moment in the quest for appreciation :)

"I hope that the world turns and that things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you. I love you. With all my heart, I love you..” Alan Moore

I relate to this. It makes me think so much of me, and how I can never seem to let certain people go. Even if I should.
