i have this
sudden urge to cut
my hair.

most of the time,
i just wish I were anything
other than me.

a rocket ship, a bird-
the sweet flavored smoke
I promised my girlfriend
these briar patch lungs
would not in.hale.

i have fallen in love
with the strangest of things-

eyes that intimidate
godless boys.

the way my scars
play hide and seek
with her hands. -

the love letters
that start and end
with kisses
pressed against limbs.

i make promises
i know i can not keep.

but if i were a liar
i would say i was tired
of writing to the stars.

This one caught my eye because I quite frequently get the urge to cut my hair and then do.  It is now shoulder length, all one length, and I am overdue... Nice work.

Thank you!

Wonderful, as always :)
This entire poem.
It's not just "amazing."
It's holy-mother-of-fruit-amazing.
If I could eat perfection for breakfast every morning, I would print this out and eat it every day.

I've cut my hair really short on impulse too. Last year, first of January. I had hair past my shoulders, and I cut it about 5cm off my scalp. My mother nearly killed me. Though that was mostly for leaving bits of hair on the bathroom floor...

-I hope you don't take this whole comment offensive, but you sound just like me.
*smiles meekly*
Your style of writing is just as mine. I also read "Day 1". You said that you didn't know you were a writer until you lost something dear. That's actually the same thing I thought of when I wrote to a song that inspired me from my pain.
Truly Amazing. These words speak of pain that is hard to deal with, but you seem to get through it anyway. There words just bleed of raw emotion from the very core.
-Don't worry, your not alone. I have a feeling that is almost the same.-
But I encourage you to write more, and I hope that your hurt goes away.
(If you are hurting on the inside.)
Please, write more.

Thank you for this, and I in no way take offense! I hope that my writing can help others. As there are always healthier outlets for our pain.
